It was good we decided against visiting Stone Mountain this morning, as it was pouring rain and there was flooding in the Roswell/Atlanta area. Lydia and Rick taught us a new card game called Hand and Foot, and we had a lot of fun. The guys beat the gals. We left Roswell about 2:00 for our drive to Hendersonville, and expected a slow trip. Fortunately the rain stopped after about an hour but there was a steady rain again by the time we got to Hendersonville NC. Both Atlanta and Hendersonville have had rain for about a week and it’s expected to continue. We are spending two nights at the Gambone home and had a good visit tonight catching up on what we’ve all been doing since they left Minnesota. We drove 213 miles today and didn’t do any walking.

Today was our first day without sightseeing, as it rained most of the day. Instead we had nice visits with Lydia and Rick Olson in Roswell GA and our former neighbors in Bloomington, Denise and Tony Gambone in Hendersonville NC.
