Mediterranean — 2010

We had a quick early breakfast and disembarked the ship at 7:30 (about 12:30 am Minneapolis time) and started on our journey home.  We went by bus to the Rome airport and waited a few hours after the long check-in, security, immigration process.  Our flight was only a little late, leaving about 1:00 pm for our 10 hour flight to Atlanta.  We waited a few hours in Atlanta for our flight that was about 1/2 hour late and left around 9:00 pm.  The plane arrived in Minneapolis around 10:30, but we waited for some time for Jay’s bag, which had gone to New Orleans (they delivered it Tuesday morning).  A cab got us to Grant Park a little before midnight, so we were almost 24 hours in transit.  We are weary and still have our coughs and colds, but we had a great trip and saw a lot of wonderful sights (we were gone 27 days and walked a little over 106 miles).  It’s great to be home!
